Title: Sex Offenders Penalties Amendment

Vote to adopt an amendment that requires a minimum sentence of 25 years for first time offenders convicted of sexual battery of a child under 11 and life in prison or the death penalty for a second offense. The amendment requires a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of 30 years for any registered sex offender who is convicted of sexual battery of a child under 16, and stipulates that the maximum sentence for those convicted of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor is 20 years.
