Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits employers from obtaining an individual's credit report for employment purposes, unless specific criteria have been met.

Highlights:
-Prohibits employers from obtaining an individual's credit report for employment purposes, unless the following criteria have been met (Sec. 2):
    -The position provides access to money, other assets, trade secrets, or confidential information; and -The position is a managerial position, a position in the state Department of Justice, or a position for which the information contained in the credit report is required to be disclosed by law or obtained by the employer.
-Exempts individuals and business that are subject to federal regulations of disclosure of nonpublic personal information (15 USC 6801 through 15 USC 6809) from the provisions of this Act (Sec. 2).
