Vote to pass a bill that requires 50 percent of all food and beverages sold in vending machines or in the a la carte line of school cafeterias to qualify as better choice foods and beverages, unless a previously agreed to contract conflicts with this requirement. The bill also requires all elementary schools to provide daily physical activity for students, prohibits vending machines being accessible to elementary school students, and requires every school board to establish a coordinated school health advisory council to review the school districts wellness policies.
