Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the Department of Agriculture to establish a geo-coded electronic database and make it available on its website in order to facilitate the purchase of fresh produce and food products by schools.

Highlights:
-Requires the database to be developed in accordance with the Local Food, Farms, and Jobs Council with basic information provided, as follows (Sec. 30):
    -Allows schools to identify and contact agricultural producers that are interested in supplying schools in Illinois with fresh produce and food products; and -Inform agricultural producers of fresh produce and food products about schools in Illinois that are interested in purchasing those products.
