Vote to pass a bill that requires the State to contribute no more than 8 percent of the salary for department officers toward the Alternate Benefit Program.

Highlights:
-Specifies that based on a certification by the Division of Pensions of the number and base salary of participants employed by the State and county colleges, the State is required to make payment of the employer contributions to the Alternate Benefit Program at a rate equal to 8 percent of the employee's base salary, but the amount of the contribution may not exceed 8 percent of the maximum salary for department officers (Sec. 1). -Specifies that for the member of the Public Employees' Retirement System employed by the county colleges, the State is required to make payment of the employer contributions to the Alternate Benefit Program at a rate equal to 8 percent of the employee's base salary, but the amount of the contribution may not exceed 8 percent of the maximum salary for department officers (Sec. 1).
