Title: Campaign Finance Law Amendments

Vote to pass a bill that specifies penalties for unauthorized campaign contributions.

Highlights:
-Specifies that a corporation, joint stock company, domestic dependent sovereign, or labor organization that makes an independent expenditure that violates the Michigan Campaign Finance Act is subject to a civil fine of up to 4 times the amount of that independent expenditure (Sec. 55F). -Specifies that this amendatory act does not take effect unless the following bills are enacted into law: HB 6182, HB 6183, HB 6184, HB 6185, HB 6186 and HB 6188 (Sec. 1).
