Vote to adopt and amendment to SB 716 that authorizes public servants to register as a lobbyist six months after leaving office.
Highlights:
-Specifies that no public servant or former public servant may register as a lobbyist while in office or within six months after leaving office.
-Prohibits employees of any State agency from registering as a lobbyist to lobby the State agency that previously employed the former employee within six months after voluntary separation or separation for cause from that State agency.
-Requires former employees of a State agency who register as a lobbyist within six months after voluntary separation or separation for cause from employment with a State agency to also indicate the State agency they were previously working for.
