Title: Establishing the Special Juvenile Victim Compensation Fund

Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Special Victim Compensation Fund.

Highlights:
-Specifies that the money shall be used solely to provide compensation to victims of juvenile crime in a county of the third class (Sec. 711). -Requires the commission to disclose information concerning applications for an award of compensation and compensation award payments previously made by the commission to the victim (Sec. 711). -Specifies that the commission shall make a lump sum payment to each victim (Sec. 711). -Specifies that if the money in the Juvenile Victim Compensation Fund is not sufficient to make all of the payments required, the payments shall be reduced for each victim on a pro rata (proportional ratio) basis (Sec. 711). -Requires a victim receiving an award to notify the commission of any payments received from any source other than the commission, that relate to the crime (Sec. 711). -Requires victims receiving payments from another source to return to the commission an amount equal to such payments, to be deposited in the Crime Victim's Compensation Fund (Sec. 711).
