-Requires the Child Care Commission to consult with the Division of Child Development of the Department of Health and Human Services to develop nutrition standards for children with the following recommendations (Sec. 1):

-Grants an exception to parents of children who have medical needs, special diets, or food allergies (Sec. 1). -Authorizes a parent or a childcare center upon the request of a parent, to give a child food and beverages that may not meet established nutrition standards (Sec. 1). -Requires a rest period after lunch or at another appropriate time along with having each child spend time outdoors each day, weather permitting (Sec. 1).
