Title: Sales Tax Dedicated to the Environment and the Arts Constitutional Amendment
Vote to pass a bill proposing a constitutional amendment that dedicates 3/16 of one percent of the state sales tax receipts to the following purposes: 60 percent for game and fish preservation, 30 percent for protection and restoration of Minnesotas water, 5 percent for parks and trails in Minnesota, and 5 percent for the arts and public broadcasting. The bill also creates separate funds for each of these four areas and requires the Commissioner of Natural Resources to create a plan to encourage owners of private land to make that land available for hunting and fishing.

Title: Sales Tax Dedicated to the Environment and the Arts Constitutional Amendment
Vote to pass a bill proposing a constitutional amendment that increases the sales tax by three eights of one percent. The bill specifies that 34 percent of the money collected from this increase will be used to protect and improve Minnesotas wildlife, 22 percent for parks, trails, and zoos in Minnesota, 22 percent to protect and restore Minnesotas clean water, and 22 percent for the arts, humanities, history museums, and public broadcasting. The bill also creates separate funds for the money in these four areas and separate councils to administer the money provided for wildlife and for clean water.
