Vote to pass a bill regarding license regulations.

Highlights:

-Specifies that the record check for a commercial driver's license must include a check with the National Driver Register (Sec. 1). -Permits the department to perform similar checks for applicants of Class "D" chauffeur's licenses and Class "E" personal vehicle driver's licenses (Sec. 1). -Eliminates the record check fee for all applicants (Sec. 1). -Establishes that the department shall not issue a driver's license to an applicant who is disqualified from operating a motor vehicle, whose driver's license has been suspended, revoked, or canceled, or who has otherwise lost the privilege to drive in another state or jurisdiction (Sec. 1). -Provides that record check fees paid by applicants for Class "D" chauffeur's license or a Class "E" personal vehicle driver's license to the department on and after March 8, 2010, shall be refunded to such applicants not later than September 1, 2010 (Sec. 2).
