Vote on a motion to waive the Budget Act for an amendment to HR 4899 that appropriates $250 million for the deployment of at least 6,000 National Guard personnel along the southern land border of the United States to assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection in border security activities.
NOTE: A MOTION TO WAIVE THE BUDGET ACT, IF ADOPTED, TEMPORARILY SETS ASIDE A SPECIFIC PROVISION OF THE BUDGET ACT OF 1974 SO THAT AN AMENDMENT THAT VIOLATES THE ACT MAY BE CONSIDERED. A 3/5 MAJORITY IS REQUIRED FOR ADOPTION.
