Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the governor to order legal holidays to be unpaid.
Highlights:
-Authorizes the governor to order one or more legal holidays to be unpaid for governmental staff (Sec. 1). -Requires the Commissioner of Administration to prepare a plan for implementing such unpaid holiday or holidays prior to the order from the governor and requires the plan to state the dollar amount of anticipated savings (Sec. 1). -Specifies that the implementation of this measure shall only be used in times when there is a budget deficit (Sec. 1).
