Vote to pass a bill that allows employers to deduct the cost of uniforms, tools, and portable equipment needed for work from pay, and to implement financial incentives related to employer-provided health benefits and intended to reduce employee tobacco use. The bill also prohibits employers from selling merchandise or supplies to employees at prices higher than to non-employees, and requires applicants for licenses to import or manufacture cigarettes to pay $1,500 and provide certain information to the alcohol and tobacco commission.
