The state minimum wage will be increased to $6.15 and the wholesale gasoline excise tax will be capped at 12.4 cents a gallon from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007. The bill also reduces the state sales tax from 4.5 percent to 4.25 percent and reduces the top income taxe rate from 8.25 percent to 8 percent.
