Vote to concur with Amdt 1 to SB 720 that redefines "substantial wall," which determines if an establishment qualifies as an "enclosed place" where smoking is prohibited.
Highlights:
-Amends the definition of "substantial wall" as follows:
- -Existing law: a wall with an opening that may be used to allow air in from the outside that is less than 25 percent of the wall's surface area; and
-New law: a wall with no opening or with an opening that either does not allow air in from the outside or is less than 25 percent of the wall's surface area.
