Title: Censuring Representative Jeffery Wood
Vote to adopt an amendment to AR 14 that replaces the language of the resolution and formally censures Representative Member Jefferey Wood of the 67th District.
-Specifies that Rep. Wood was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant, operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration (PAC), possession of tetrahydrocannibinols (THC), and possession of drug paraphernalia, all stemming from an arrest that occurred on December 12, 2008. -Specifies that, with respect to the aforementioned charges, Rep. Wood plead no contest to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the court dismissed the charges of operating a motor vehicle with a PAC and possession of THC. -Specifies that, with respect to the aforementioned charges, Rep. Wood was sentence to 45 days in jail and fined more than $1,600. -Specifies that Rep. Wood was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, stemming from an arrest that occurred on September 23, 2009. -Specifies that, with respect to the aforementioned charge, Rep. Wood was ordered by the court to take no controlled substances without a prescription. -Specifies that Rep. Wood was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant or other drug and misdemeanor bail jumping, stemming from an arrest that occurred on October 21, 2009. -Specifies that the Legislature appointed a special committee on ethics and standards of conduct to consider any resolution to reprimand, censure, or expel Rep. Wood, which alleges the following:
