Vote to pass a bill that requires a statewide election to be held on November 2, 2010 in each school district on implementing 3 consecutive 4-year term limits for school board members.

Highlights:

-Prohibits board members who, at the end of a term of office, have served for more than 2.5 terms in 3 consecutive terms beginning on or after January 1, 2010 from running for another term if the voters in that district vote to impose term limits (Sec. 1). -Exempts the Recovery School District, the governing authority of any charter school, and any district that already implemented term limits for school board members prior to January 1, 2010 (Sec. 1).
