Vote on a motion to invoke cloture on a bill that, beginning October 1, 2010, exempts from the sales tax the gross income received by a public utility dedicated to the purpose of water or natural gas infrastructure replacement and the gross income received by a city or public sewer utility dedicated to remedy combined sewer overflow.
Highlights:
-Defines "infrastructure replacement" as the actual cost of the replacement of deteriorated or obsolete piping by new piping pursuant to a planned program of pipe replacement and not for the sole purpose of piping repair (Sec. 4).
