Vote to adopt an amendment to LB 780 that limits workers' compensation death benefits for dependents of first responders whose death resulted directly from mental injury or mental illness as a result of "extraordinary and unusual circumstances" of their employment conditions to 1 year after the incident that resulted in the mental injury or mental illness.
Highlights:
-Prohibits dependents from receiving death benefits if the death occurred 1 year or more after the incident that resulted in the mental injury or mental illness (Sec. 1b).
