Vote to pass a bill that requires the Ohio Attorney General to pursue a memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Attorney General to authorize the enforcement of federal immigration laws, both criminal and civil, by Ohio law enforcement.

Highlights:
-Specifies that the participation of any local law enforcement agency in such memorandum of agreement is "permissive" (Sec. 1). -Requires the attorney general to designate "appropriate law enforcement officers" to be trained in the enforcement of federal immigration laws as specified in the memorandum (Sec. 1). -Requires law enforcement officers that are certified as trained in accordance with the memorandum of agreement to enforce federal immigration laws as specified in the memorandum (Sec. 1). -Prohibits law enforcement officers from enforcing federal immigration laws without having been certified as being trained in accordance with the memorandum of agreement (Sec. 1).
