Vote Smart's Synopsis:

Vote to pass a bill that requires voters to show a form of valid photo identification or sign a personal identification affidavit before receiving a ballot.

Highlights:
-Requires voters to present 1 of the following forms of photo identification (Sec. 2):
    -Idaho driver's license or identification card issued by the Idaho Department of Transportation; -Passport or identification card, including a photograph, issued by an agency of the U.S. government; -Tribal identification card, including a photograph; or -Current student identification card, including a photograph, issued by a high school or accredited institution of higher education, including a university, college, or technical school located within the state of Idaho.
-Authorizes voters unable to present personal photo identification to complete an affidavit with the voter's name, address, and signature in lieu of the personal photo identification (Sec. 3). -Classifies knowingly providing false, erroneous, or inaccurate information on a personal identification affidavit as a felony (Sec. 3).
