Title: Prohibiting Roadside Solicitation of Employment
Vote to pass a bill that would restrict the activity of roadside solicitation for the employment of day laborers.
- Prohibits an occupant of a motor vehicle that is stopped on a street, roadway or highway and blocking or impeding normal movement of traffic to hire and pick up passengers for work at a different location (Sec. 1).
- Prohibits a person to enter a motor vehicle that is stopped on a street, roadway or highway and blocking or impeding the normal movement of traffic to be hired by an occupant of the vehicle and be transported to work at a different location (Sec. 1).
- Classifies a violation of the provisions of this Act as a class 3 misdemeanor (Sec. 1).
