Title: Requiring Legal Challenge to Federal Health Insurance Mandates

Vote to pass a bill that requires residents of Tennessee be free to choose or decline to choose health care services without penalty, or threat of penalty from the Federal Government.

Highlights:

-Prohibits any public official, employee, or agent of the state from imposing, collecting, enforcing or effectuating any penalty that violates the public policy of the Tennessee Health Freedom Act (Sec 1). -Requires the Attorney General of Tennessee to seek appropriate relief to preserve the rights and property of the residents of Tennessee in the event that any law or regulation in violation the provisions of this Act is enacted (Sec 2). -The text of this bill was replaced by a substitute amendment sponsored by Sen. Jack Johnson.
