Title: Prohibiting Lobbyist and Contractor Campaign Contributions
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits lobbyists, principals of state contractors, or principals of perspective state contractors from contributing to a candidate for nomination or election to a public state office, a campaign committee of a candidate for state public office, or a state or county level political party committee, beginning November 3, 2010.
- -Individuals that are members of the board of directors, or has an ownership interest in, of a state contractor or prospective state contractor, unless such individual owns less than 5 percent of the shares of the corporation;
-Agents seeking a state contract for a state contractor or prospective state contractor that has a value of $250,000 or more; and
-Political committees established by or on behalf of the principle of a state contractor or prospective state contractor.
