Title: Expanding State University Tuition Authority
Vote to pass a bill that requires for academic years 2011-2010 through 2017-2018, reductions or increases in full time tuition fees for resident undergraduates and graduate students to be determined annually by the governing boards of the University of Washington, Washington State University, and Western Washington University.
- -If the student's family income is at or below 50 percent of the state's median family income, the waiver is equal to 100 percent of tuition fees;
-If the student's family income is greater than 50 percent and less than 75 percent of the state's median family income, the waiver is equal to 75 percent of tuition fees;
-If the student's family income is at or exceeds 75 percent and is less than 100 percent of the states' median family income, the waiver is equal to 50 percent tuition fees; and
-If the student's family income is at or exceeds 100 percent and is less than 125 percent of the state's median family income, the a waiver is equal to 25 percent tuition fees.
