Vote to pass a bill that requires the Division of Wildlife Resources to request the immediate removal of wolves from the list of endangered or threated species under the Endangered Species Act and return wolf management to the authority of the state.

Highlights:
-Alleges that the state cannot adequately or effectively manage wolves on a pack level in the small area of the state where the species is currently delisted under the Endangered Species Act without significantly harming other vital state interests, including livestock and big game populations (Sec. 1). -Requires the Division of Wildlife Resources to manage wolves to prevent the establishment of a visible pack in areas of the state where the wolf is not listed as threatened or endangered until the wolf is completely delisted under the Endangered Species Act and removed from federal control in the entire state (Sec. 2). -Specifies that the state of Utah has previously requested the removal of wolves from the endangered species list, but the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has not complied (Sec. 1). -This is a substitute bill sponsored by Sen. Allen Christensen.
