Title: Legislator Pension Amendments
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits legislators who have not retired and started receiving benefits prior to the effective date of this Act from consolidating accounts under the Legislators' Retirement Plan, the State Police Retirement System, the Kentucky Employees Retirement System, the County Employees Retirement System, and the Teachers' Retirement System for the purpose of determining eligibility and benefit amounts and in the same manner as for the other retirement systems using the highest salary regardless of the system in which it was earned.
NOTE: A BILL WITH AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE REQUIRES A FULL MAJORITY VOTE OF THE LEGISLATURE: 51 MEMBERS IN THE HOUSE OR 20 IN THE SENATE. THE BILL GOES INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY UPON THE GOVERNOR'S SIGNATURE OR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AS SPECIFIED WITHIN THE BILL.
