Vote to pass a bill that prohibits automobile insurers from refusing to insure, refusing to continue to insure, limiting the amount of coverage available, or charging a different rate or premium based upon an individual's employment, trade, business, occupation, profession, education level, or credit history beginning January 1, 2010.

Highlights:

-Specifies that the above prohibitions, not including the ban on discrimination based on credit history, do not prohibit insurers from providing a discount based on savings related to group, blanket, or franchise automobile insurance (Sec. 2027A).
