Vote to pass a bill that prohibits using a wireless telephone in school, construction or maintenance speed zones while operating a motor vehicle on a roadway, unless the wireless telephone is voice-activated.

Highlights:
-Prohibits all drivers from using a wireless telephone while operating a motor vehicle on a roadway in school zones or in a construction or maintenance speed zone (Sec. 5). -Allows use of wireless phones for emergency purposes, including emergency calls to a law enforcement agency, health care provider, fire department or other emergency service (Sec. 5). -Allows use of wireless phones in speed zones when phones are set on voice-activated mode (Sec. 5).
