Vote to pass a bill which requires construction workers working on projects receiving financial assistance from the Board of Public Utilities to be paid no less than the prevailing wage.
Highlights:
-Authorizes the Board of Public Utilities to adopt rules and regulations requiring that not less than the prevailing wage rate be paid to workers employed in the performance of any construction undertaken in connection with board financial assistance (Sec. 1). -Authorizes the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development to exercise all powers and duties regarding the payment of the prevailing wage (Sec. 1).
