Vote to pass a bill that allows malt beverage (beer) tastings in the state of North Carolina.

Highlights:
-Establishes malt beverage special event and tasting permits and sets fees for their purchase (Sec. 1). -Defines malt beverage tastings as the offering of samples of at least one malt beverage products without charge in an amount not to exceed 2 ounces per sample (Sec. 2). -Requires that all malt beverages sampled or sold must be purchased from a licensed malt beverages wholesaler (Sec. 4). -Limits a malt beverage special event permit to a jurisdiction that has approved the establishment of ABC stores or has approved the sale of malt beverages (Sec. 4). -Goes into effect October 1, 2009 (Sec. 5).
